Between 7 August and 9 September 2025, the docomomo_Türkiye On Site: Modern Heritage Workshop I was held in collaboration with BEINSITU Sustainability Institute, Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Architecture, and the docomomo_Türkiye National Working Group. The workshop aimed to highlight, study, document, and reinterpret Istanbul’s Art Deco heritage.
The outcomes of the workshop formed part of the exhibition “Bridging Art Deco: A Hidden Heritage from Istanbul to Brussels”, which sought to build a cultural bridge between Brussels and Istanbul through the shared European heritage of Art Deco. Supported by the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Türkiye to the European Union and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Brussels, the exhibition was open to visitors between 19 September and 3 October, and was included in the European Heritage Days programme in Brussels on 20–21 September.
