The Beinsitu team was happy to be invited to the opening of the exhibition “Design and Comics: Living in a Box” at Design Museum Brussels! ✨

Through the collection of Vitra Design Museum, the exhibition explores the relationship between design and the world of comics — from early 20th-century comic strips to today’s digital and manga-inspired creations.

The exhibition highlights how comic artists across generations incorporated design objects into their narratives from the works of Hergé and Franquin to the pop art influences of the 1960s and beyond. In Brussels, special focus is given to Belgian comics, particularly the Atom style and Franquin’s playful modernism, which continue to inspire design and creativity today.

A must-see for anyone passionate about design, comics, and visual storytelling!
