We had the honor of presenting the Peace Scarf at the reception hosted by the Permanent Delegation of Türkiye to the EU and H.E. Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, marking the 60th anniversary of the Türkiye-EU Association Agreement in the 101st year of the Republic of Türkiye.
As BEINSITU Sustainability Institute, this event marked the launch of our first project in Brussels. The Peace Scarf, inspired by Republic-era motifs from Kastamonu and crafted by women artisans, Veliye Martı and her team, was designed for the relationship between Türkiye and the EU.
It was a pleasure to share the story behind the Peace Scarf—a creation under our Craft Stories project—with distinguished guests, celebrating cultural heritage.
